Dhee Sarpangal brings a wealth of high-level leadership experience, technical expertise, and a deep passion for community and team building to the HoopItForward organization.

Dhee's connection to HoopItForward stems from his time at Microsoft, where he first met Co-Founder Ha Tran. While working together in the tech world, they bonded over a shared love for staying active and competing on the same recreational sports teams. That same spirit of teamwork and connection now fuels his involvement with our mission.

Professionally, Dhee is a seasoned technology executive with over 25 years of experience leading engineering teams at some of the world's most prominent tech companies. After an impactful tenure at Microsoft managing core software engineering and product development teams, he went on to serve as a Senior Director of Engineering at Cisco. Today, Dheeraj serves as a Director of Engineering at Google, leading global product experiences.

Beyond his strategic role which combines his massive background in organizational leadership with his genuine heart for youth development, behind the scenes, Dheeraj is hands-on with our mission on the court. He actively serves as a coach during our sessions, and his commitment to the youth doesn't stop when the whistle blows: he continuously mentors the kids outside of camp, guiding them through life, academics, and personal growth throughout the year. Coach Dhee and family are also a major donor to HoopItForward.
