Dunkan Nguyen co-founded HoopItForward in Hue back in 2017, where he started as Ha Tran’s assistant, teaching basketball skills to eager young athletes.
Over the years, his dedication and leadership have driven his growth to Camp Director. Today, Dunkan manages our entire coaching staff and handles the critical behind-the-scenes logistics that make all of our camps possible.
A former college basketball player, Dunkan is currently pursuing his undergraduate degree at UC Irvine. He is deeply passionate about youth development and loves nothing more than making every single camper feel special, seen, and supported. For Dunkan, HoopItForward is about building a community where every child has the chance to thrive on and off the court.
