In 2017, Hà Trần, a former college basketball player, born in Vietnam and raised in Seattle, created HoopitForward to connect the game she loves into something bigger than just basketball. The Iconic Seattle Space Needle in our logo isn’t just a symbol but stands for that journey: home, growth, and the responsibility to pour back into the communities that shaped us and the vision that guides us.
Our mission: I Help, U Help, We All Help.
In Year 9 of HIF, that mission comes to life in a bigger way.
Former campers are no longer just participants. They are now returning as Jr. Assistants, media team members, and project managers: leading sessions, mentoring others, and helping build the program from within.
That is the impact, the legacy.
That is HoopitForward.
That is the circle completed.
The game brings us together.
Our passion moves us forward.
